Proctor Takes Office as HBA President

Glenn Ballard, right, passes the gavel to Tommy Proctor.

Tommy Proctor of W. Thomas Proctor, P.C., took up the gavel as the 2007-2008 president of the Houston Bar Association at the organization’s Annual Dinner Meeting, held May 17 at River Oaks Country Club. Proctor succeeded Glenn A. Ballard Jr. of Bracewell & Giuliani LLP.

The gala evening was dedicated to the accomplishments of the HBA and its members during the past year. Ballard presented the President’s Awards to outstanding committee and program chairs for 2006-2007, and the HBA honored its emeritus members who reached their 50th year of practice during the last bar year.
