Ballard Takes Office as HBA President

Glenn A. Ballard, Jr., a partner at Bracewell & Giuliani LLP, took up the gavel as the 2006-2007 president of the Houston Bar Association at the organization’s Annual Dinner Meeting, held May 18th at River Oaks Country Club. Ballard succeeded Randall O. Sorrels of Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Sorrels, Matthews & Friend.
The gala evening was dedicated to the accomplishments of the HBA and its members during the past year. Sorrels presented the President’s Awards to outstanding committee and program chairs for 2005-2006, and the HBA honored its emeritus members who reached their 50th year of practice during the last bar year.
